Portfolios :: European Telecomm - eVita eTopUp Initiative
Overview
e-Vita is one of the first companies to be able to support the delivery of Electronic Top Ups for mobile pre-pay services. This capability
is a natural extension to e-Vita's pre-pay pin distribution (or e-Voucher) services. e-Vita's point of sale technology significantly reduces Network Operator channel distribution costs, eliminating the need for scratch card top-ups; it improves customer services, reduces call center volumes and improves the total customer/retailer experience related to top ups. e-Vita can provide a turnkey solution to GSM network operators including sales, marketing and the distribution of on-line vouchers. Retailers benefit from increased revenue, reduced stock management, improved cash flow, reduced shrinkage and a wider choice of products & services (e.g. long distance calling prepaid vouchers, etc).
Project Involvement
TSI develops all of the software for APACS compliance in the European market. APACS standard 30 and standard 40 compliance has been developed against the TNS backbone. TNS is currently providing 2400-baud support in Europe. TSI develops all communications software that complies and conforms to the legacy data communications infrastructure present in Europe. This includes the widely available GSM and 2400-baud support.
All business rules required for APACS approval and Vodafone approval was integrated into the existing POS terminal embedded systems and distributor link databases.
Summary
E-Vita engaged TSI to develop their eTopUp solution supporting over 20 million transactions per month representing over 25 billion dollars of financial transactions annually. TSI pioneers the electronic cellular prepay industry in Europe.
